Marriage

Marriage, of course, is not merely a human invention. As Catholics, we believe marriage is intended by God to be an intimate communion of life and love. Marriage represents to the community the unbreakable bond of love that exists between Christ and the Church. Because marriage is a sacrament in the Catholic Church, we have definite beliefs about marriage which differ from those in our popular society. As you begin your preparation it is important that you reflect on these beliefs as a couple and with the church community. The first step in marriage preparation is a meeting with our pastor. Only Fr. Randy can set the wedding date. Please contact Fr. Randy Phillips at the Parish Office at (586) 268-2244.

Wedding Book

The wedding book and appendix contain reflections on Catholic Marriage and information about the wedding liturgy. All the final details will be discussed with the priest or deacon.

Please return the check list at least one month prior to your wedding.
