“As each one has received a gift, use it to serve one another as good stewards of God’s varied grace,” (1Pt 4:10).
Parishioners providing gifts through a will and personal trust have become an essential part of the financial support of our Church. Such gifts enable a donor to make significant contributions that may not have been possible during their lifetime. By including a bequest to St. Blase Parish Sterling Heights in your last will and testament you create a legacy of your faith and generosity that benefits the parish. A bequest is a transfer of cash, securities, or other property to the parish that you make through your will or living trust. A bequest to St. Blase Parish can be made for a specific amount, for a percentage of your estate, or even for all or a portion of what is left in your estate after you have made specific bequests to your family and loved ones. Therefore, it is necessary to have a valid will or trust to accomplish your goal of leaving a legacy to the Church as your final act of stewardship. Setting up a bequest gift is simple. You may make a bequest by including the following language in your will or trust:
“I bequest to St. Blase Parish Sterling Heights, Michigan (you may state a percentage or exact amount) to be used or disposed of as an unrestricted gift for its general purposes”.
Thank you for your consideration.
