Catholic Services Appeal 2025
Christ’s call to “feed my sheep” (John 21:15–17) isn’t just a message for the Apostles; it’s a call to each of us to show love, care, and compassion for others. Your generous support of the Catholic Services Appeal helps support more than 100 essential programs that bring Christ’s love to those in need, offering hope, healing, and a sense of belonging.
When there is a need, we pull together. Might we look at the CSA that way? THE CATHOLIC SERVICES APPEAL (CSA) IS HOW ALL THE PARISHES IN THE ARCHDIOCESE CONTRIBUTE TOWARD THE COMMON MINISTRIES THAT AN INDIVIDUAL PARISH COULD NOT AFFORD ON ITS OWN. In supporting the CSA, we help to provide hospital and campus ministry chaplains, the operation of Sacred Heart Major Seminary, Education and training for lay ministers, the Archdiocesan marriage tribunal, and much more. Our parish target is $94,078.00 (Ninety-four thousand, and seventy-eight dollars). Based on the number of parishioners who contributed to the CSA last year, WE NEED AN AVERAGE GIFT OF $275.00 (two hundred and seventy-five dollars) FROM EACH CONTRIBUTOR TO REACH OUR TARGET. As always, I ask those who can do a little more than that $275.00 amount to please do so as others may not be able to contribute at that level.
Remember that, in addition to reaching many with the Good News of Christ that we could not reach otherwise, the CSA can be a help to our parish. This is a bill we cannot overpay. If we exceed our target, THE EXCESS IS RETURNED TO US AND IS NOT SUBJECT TO THE ARCHDIOCESAN TAX. However, this is a target we MUST achieve. That is, if we fall short, the shortfall is pulled from our operating budget (and our operating budget itself has fallen short in each of the past four years). So, this is something we cannot afford. PLEASE, MAKE YOUR GIFT TO CSA EITHER ONLINE (GIVECSA.ORG) OR BY MAILING YOUR CSA ENVELOPES. THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT AND GENEROSITY.
