YouTube Video VVVHMk9uUDdGandNdlBEaXNPWnpiUDZRLjlOcGlmNVNINGhn During our Parish Mission this past Lent, this presentation was made by to prepare us for receiving the Sacrament of Reconciliation. We are pleased to present this portion of the evenings prayer service for your reflection. The video last approx. 33 minutes and includes the prayers and instructions on receiving the Sacrament at the end.
Most of us do not avail ourselves to this Sacrament as often as we could or even should. And yet it remains one of the great opportunities God presents to be healed of those things holding us back from realizing the fullness of God's grace.
There is no "one way" to prepare for the Sacrament. There are, in fact, many forms of an examination of conscience. We offer this as just one more example of how to place yourself in God's presence. What is important is that you come. God is always there. Come.
